Charlie the Crocodile! Understanding 'greater than' and 'less than' signs (Part 1)

Maths
KS1

Charlie the Crocodile is here to bring Maths to life! 🐊

Understanding number ordering and greater than and less than symbols can be complicated for Year Two learners. I remember my school days when I was told that 'the crocodile always eats the biggest number', and Charlie was born!

This resource is part one of a two-part series on the 'greater than' and 'less than' symbols (<,>). It's perfect as an introductory resource to the topic and can even be used as a template for creating a story about Charlie the Crocodile. Maybe he could appear in another Maths topic! 😀

It's designed for Year Two learners and is designed around the National Curriculum Year Two learning outcomes;

'Compare and order numbers from 0 up to 100; use <, > and = signs.'
