Hello! In our Inclusivity and Awareness Month, we're looking at tools that make every student feel part of the class. Today, let's explore Participate Mode in myViewBoard Whiteboard for Windows. This cool feature lets everyone work together but on their own little piece of the board. It's perfect for making sure all voices are heard.
Inclusivity in education means giving every student a chance to be part of the action. That's exactly what Participate Mode does. It gives each student or group their own space on the board, making it easier for everyone to join in. Even the quiet ones find a way to show what they know. Everyone gets to draw, write, and share at the same time, which really opens up the classroom to all kinds of learners.
What is Participate Mode?
Participate Mode splits the whiteboard into smaller boards. Each student or group gets their own space to work on. This means everyone can join in without waiting for their turn.

Using Participate Mode in Class
Here are some fun ways to use it in different subjects/topics/holidays:
π¨ Colorful Emotions
Divide the class into groups, assigning each to a mini whiteboard. Display photos with dominant colors and ask:
1. "What emotions do these colors evoke?
2. Why these four colors?"
Let them discuss and illustrate their feelings and thoughts directly on their boards.
π Friction Exploration
In Participate Mode, split students into teams. Pose the questions:
1. "If friction is too much, what happens?
2. How can friction be both good and bad?"
Have them list examples of high and low friction they encounter in daily life on their mini whiteboards.
π Christmas Around the Globe
Use Participate Mode to give each group their own space.
Ask them to discuss and present different ways to celebrate Christmas.
Each group shares their unique findings, from decorations to customs, on their section of the whiteboard.
Lesson Idea: The Kindness Challenge
Use Participate Mode to engage students in a discussion on kindness. Prompt them with questions like "How can we add color to someone's life?" and have them illustrate or list their ideas on their mini whiteboards. This activity not only fosters creative thinking but also builds empathy and social skills. π Find here the lesson used in this videoπ
