Subject-Specific Ideas
Utilize your existing materials and myViewBoard' s tools and features with the Infinite Canvas to transform and organize your lessons effectively.
๐ Math
Dynamic Problem Solving: Instead of switching slides, use the Infinite Canvas to continuously solve problems. Start with basic equations on one part of the canvas and progressively move to more complex ones, allowing students to see the entire problem-solving process unfold in one continuous space. This will allows students to follow the logical progression without interruptions and see the interconnectedness of different math concepts.
The teacher imports her content to explain linear equations, she then moves downwards to solve some equations, and drags the screen to the left to gradually introduce more complex equations such as quadratics or systems of equations.
๐ Science
Interactive Exploration: Create an insect scavenger hunt on the Infinite Canvas. Design a large, interactive map where students can zoom into different areas to discover and learn about various insects, annotating their findings and hypotheses as they go. Add videos to make learning time more engaging.
The teacher starts the class with a broad view of a garden or forest habitat on the canvas. She pans and zooms around the canvas to help students find hidden insects like butterflies, bees, and snails using the magnifying glass.
When they find an insect they need to answer 3 questions. After reviewing all insects, the teacher goes back to the canvas's central point at 100% zoom and finishes the lesson with a review video of interesting insects.
๐ History
Expansive Timelines: Build an expansive timeline that students can zoom into for details on specific events. Use the panning feature to move through different periods seamlessly, providing a comprehensive historical overview without flipping between slides.
The teacher is preparing a timeline of World War II so students can see clearly the events that took place. She uses a timeline background and the infinite canvas to zoom in and scroll throughout the events. She adds an image through the Image Search feature in the Magic Box, but leaves space so students can add information, pictures and more during the lesson.
