How to Supercharge Your Google Slides with myViewBoard: A Beginnerโ€™s Guide

Hey Teachers! Ready to boost up your Google Slides game with myViewBoard?

Let's dive in with simple steps and cool tools. No complicated stuff, just easy upgrades for your lessons!

๐Ÿš€ Step 1: Bring Your Slides In - Choose Your Way:

First things first, letโ€™s get your existing Google Slides into myViewBoard. You've got options here:

  • Option 1: Import Everything:

    1. Click the main toolbar's Magic Box icon.

    2. In the Magic Box window, hit File and select Google Drive.

    3. Filter if needed, then double click your presentation.

    4. Press Select All and Import Landscape to open it on the canvas.

  • Option 2: Selective Import - Handpick Your Slides:

    Want to import just a few slides? No problem.

    1. Open the Magic Box and navigate to Google Drive.

    2. Double click or drag and drop your presentation.

    3. Select a set of slides and press Import Landscape to open them on the canvas.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ Step 2: Teach and Review with Whiteboard Tools:

Now, letโ€™s use myViewBoard as your dynamic teaching sidekick. Explore some of our tools:

  • Shapes and Lines - Create Engaging Activities:

    1. Press the Shapes and Lines Tool.

    2. More Shapes and Lines can be accessed by pressing twice.

    3. Quick switch between shapes and lines when the shapes tool is selected to create engaging activities on the canvas.

  • Pen - Draw and Annotate:

    1. Select the Pen Tool.

    2. Available pens can be accessed by pressing the pen tool icon twice.

    3. Color quick switch is always available when the pen tool is selected (indicated by 3 colors above the pen icon).

    4. Choose between different color markers, paint brush, highlighter, laser pen and so much more to enhance your content in countless ways using the same tool.

๐ŸŽฎ Step 3: Infuse Some Fun with ViewSonic Originals:

Did you know? ViewSonic Originals is a rich collection of ready-made content that you can use to spice up your lessons or create new ones from scratch. Whether you need games, backgrounds, graphics, or entire lessons, you can find them in ViewSonic Originals and apply them to your canvas with just a few clicks.

  1. Open the Embedded Browser.

  2. On the home page, press the ViewSonic Originals logo.

  3. On the Originals home page, locate or search your desired lesson.

  4. Enter the lesson page.

  5. On the lesson page, press the Apply button.

  6. Wait a couple of seconds and the lesson will now open in your active canvas session.

Note: If importing content from Originals and you have work open, save it first. Opening Originals launches a new canvas.

โ˜๏ธ Step 4: Save Your Masterpiece:

After enhancing your lesson, it's time to save it effortlessly:

Auto Save Session File to Cloud: Set your cloud storage as default in myViewBoard. After saving your session file will automatically be saved to the cloud after each session signs out.

  1. In the main toolbar, open File Manager.

  2. Press Save as.

  3. Browse through your local drive or cloud storage to select your desired folder destination.

  4. When ready, name the file.

  5. Press the checkmark to save the new file.
